I attended both games and the Aussie captain in 87' (maybe Andrew Slack?) was sent off early in the first half..cant recall the offence...
It pissed down at Eden park just before the game started..we were in the western stand right behing the goal post.

Tell ya what the aussies after the game seemed humble in defeat,unlike us kiwis who didn't seem to know how the win with graciousness,sure it was good banter.Considering we missed 12-14pts in kicks I hope it doesn't bite us in arse wit narrow misses at goal.
France if on the back foot can use niggly tactics,stuffing out the flowing game,thus becomes kick fest,all of a sudden you go from 12 points in front to 2 and frogs are dominant and dangerous,best thing is we secure the ball early and win it in forward play,which hopefully will happen.
