Insurance renewal time, and I remember I haven't provided insurance a list of all the extras on the bike. So it got me to thinking... how much is too much? Is there such a thing as too much? I imagine asking that in a modding forum would have the easy answer of an emphatic NO... I'll see once I email my insurers
My list (with a few more to come in a while):
BMW Aluminium Panniers
BMW Extra Height Hand Guards
Givi Trekker Top Box and fitment plate
Touratech Cockpit Surround w/ 2 Power Outlets
Touratech Front Fender Extender
Touratech Rear Splash Guard
Touratech Drive Shaft Crash Bung
Touratech Oil Cooler Guard
Touratech Frame Protectors
Touratech Headlight Protector and glare shield
Touratech Windscreen Spoiler & metal hard part
Touratech Accessory Hub (x2)
Exo Heated Vest Controller
Xenonrider H7 HID Kit w/ Canbus Ballast
AdvDesigns Engine Guard Extensions
Weiser Swing Arm Pivot Cover
AltRider Side Stand Foot
AltRider Potentiometer Guard
Clearwater Krista LED lights with Connector Kit for GSA
Denali D1 LED 2 Light Kit
LED Light Strips on hand guards
ExcelCycleWerkes Exhaust Extensions
ExcelCycleWerkes Bar Mount Kit
ExcelCycleWerkes Toe Guard Kit
GME TX4600 UHF Transceiver (hard wired into bike) and associated aerial
Baehr Verso XL (with associated cables for GPS, Radar, UHF Radio)
Beltronics STI Radar Detector
Garmin Zumo 550 and wiring
Excepting the last block of 4 (I don't want insurance to have them), the total is just over $6000, no fitting charges, freighting charges etc, which don't get covered. Can't believe I've spent that much since buying the bike in mid-January.
