Hey you could put it on TradeMe. I sell a lot on there. Just say you have a new battery but are upgrading and ask about 2/3 to 3/4 new price. Emphasise that it's a bargain!

I could do it myself if you like.

At the moment my motivation to do anything is Hangi and Chocolate Trifle. So getting on tardme rates a very, very distant 3rd place. I'll get there, I just can't be bothered at the moment

Yup! They're designed to be a drop-in replacement battery and any charger will do as long as you don't use a desulphering charger that puts out more than 14.6v max.

roger....my old trx300 honda farm quad would put 13.4 volts at idle into the battery and 17.7 volts at a hand full of revs....so they be off the list then.

That's interesting I'll check with Shorai as no mention is made of vehicle charging systems anywhere. As I said they are a straight replacement for your standard battery and are supposed to be compatible with the vehicle's charging system. Perhaps the fact that the electrics are being used while the battery is being recharged makes a difference? I'll let you know what they say.

don't worry getting back to me dude....tis all good. just not all bikes have voltage rectifiers/regulators....be careful....good luck with the business...product looks mint! you should mention the deep cycle abilities of the batteries for people who are after a battery they can drain over and over for other purposes...and the fact Li battery have no charge memory...and their life cycle is massive compare to lead acid and even gelcel, etc

Yeah the uses for them are almost endless but one thing must be catered for and that is they must not be drained flat or you can kill them. Shorai say don't go below 20% so any other use needs a monitor. These are Lithium Iron not Ion and won't catch fire like Lithium Ion can either.
