Glad to see you guys are out there doing it. Had my first small ride today, after getting wiped out by a ute that failed to give way at Akaroa on Easter weekend. The CB was written off, so have replaced it with a Triumph. Seemed to be a bad mojo with Honda.

My right hand is a bit munted, it got crushed and almost lost the little finger, my gear saved the rest of me. SO after getting the metalware taken out this week, it was a very ginger and quiet pootle today. Hope to be in shape to rejoin the WNR's later this year.

Take care and wear good gear, because it won't be you that causes an accident, it will be some blind twat in a tin top.
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

The emergency stop was caused by my breakfast pie making a sudden reappearance

I have had better motorcycling moments

Ah the return of Mr Net!!!! Very glad to know you are back on two wheels!!!

You look after yourself, travel safely and I hope to see you WNRing again soon.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

I picked it up from a guy advertising it on the side of the road. I got it pretty cheap.

So far it owes me $100 for a reg/rec, $100 for a new battery, $500 for a fuel system overhaul (New fuel pump, new needles, balance and clean(It goes so much better now!)), $50 for new decals and finally $120 to get all the plastic welding done.

All I have to do now is get it painted. I've been quoted $800 for the paint job by Southbrook Panel and Paint here in Rangiora. I'm not gonna do that though until I get used to riding it. It's so different to the bikes I usually ride that I've had a case of the dropsies once or twice.

Its a great bike though. It's done 102,000 and the engine is still really smooth, runs great and it's a joy to ride. Hopefully I should get another 100,000km out of it. Gear driven cams for the win!
before you pull the pin on southbrooke panel and paint (i live litterally door down from them so no bias they are great)

    but give

Muzza bikes a ring... he does mainly bikes and he uses nice thick 2k paint with lots of clear layesrs.. makes it very chip resistant and he is good on price and does lazer cut the decals and clears over them so they dont peel as well.

i had paint and panel do a fron t gaurd touch up, good work but paint was a bit thin and started chipping... after all the mainly do insurance car work...

Muzza bikes / Bumber shop i had a full re decal and respray of my sp2 to factory colour with all decals cost me 980 dollars total and it had lots of finicky detailing in the paint.

Cheers man, When I get around to painting it I will have to take it in there to see what they can do with it. I'd much rather use a specialist than a car shop
