    Thumbs up

We should make another thread for Saturday rides. I wasn't aware of them for ages until someone told me; Wednesday nights I have Uni, and at a glance most new riders will just think this thread is about Wednesday nights only. Is there any reason it hasn't been done?

We have been using this thread because most of the regulars know it is here, as now do you. The reason another thread hasn't been started is because, another thread hasn't been started. If you feel the need????? Then. .................. Go for it. Or you could keep an eye on this one.

Have a good one and ride safely.

Hiya all, I need to do an errand in Hanmer this weekend if anyone would like to come for the ride (just collecting dad's phone charger ). Could stay for a soak in pools depending who is keen, or ride back and on through Leader Valley? Or both ...Can do Saturday or Sunday.

If anyone will lead a group anywhere on Saturday I will come on that ride and shoot to Hanmer Sunday.

I'd organise a ride but I'm over in Hokitika on my way to the Brass Monkey.

New OEM BMW cable arrived ex UK - 18GBP + postage. Got a spare throttle (31 pounds, it's a weird cascaded thing for the two carbs) & speedo (13 pounds!) too... seems to be the way with the beemer stuff, some consumables v. reasonable (assuming the dealer doesn't try price gouging) but some items - usually trim - just plain OTT.

    On better subject:

Anyone game for this weekend? Anyone **around** for this weekend?
If so, any ideas on where & which day? (Sat sounds fairly marginal weather-wise. And got to fit new brake pads & clutch cable....)

Would be up for Hanmer on Sunday ... not the pools, I'd empty them

That sounds great but I've spent the last week in bed so don't think I'll be sufficiently recuperated by then

Hammer on Sunday then and lunch there, long way home if all keen. How's 11.00 departure from The Peg, I'm totally flexible on time at this stage.

Anyone like to ride Saturday? What about Methven... I'm too new to lead...

Tempted for Sat, but do need to do the maintenance thing (cables / brakes / wires / speedo) as well as some errands whie the shops are open.
And at $44 a tank for the gas now I think I'd better ration it just a bit (lunch $$ for Sun then )...
