Hi WG as Gareth has said come along and make yourself known on a Wednesday. Or keep an eye on this thread for other rides being organised. We frequently have a ride on a Sunday out of BK Moorhouse, meeting at 12.00 for departure at 12.30.

Come along Wednesday or Sunday or both, you are most welcome.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Hey guys....I'm a bit new to all this....I just moved to CHCH and got a bike here...I don't know much about riding either to be honest..just got my restricted last year and I'm closing in on one year on it...I'm pretty shy when it comes to new people....but I love riding everywhere and it is my get away from reality....so I was wondering if anyone can show me how Christchurch riders do things around here....? where would we go and for how long? I saw that there are several locations out there....but I'm not too sure where they are either......thanks

No worries, just come down to the Buger King car park on Moorhouse Ave. Everyone is fairly friendly so you will be fine, just be there
around six as we depart around 6.30. I'm on the red Sprint so come on over and say who you are and you will be fine. Have a chat then and we can tell you what we do and we you can go around here.

I'm new to CHCH as well mate, went along last Wednesday, didn't get bitten once or catch any exotic diseases

Just go there, park your bike next to everyone, get off, walk up and grunt a greeting. Everyone will leave together, you'll find a rider in the group that runs at a similar pace to you and ride with them. Good times.

So what's the schnizzle for tomorrow? We doing the Hurunui Pizza run again? Was a fun ride but quite long ... I didn't get home until 11 last time ...
It's a very nice ride apart from the looong straight motorway bits to and from the city but once we're at about the Hanmer turnoff it gets, and stays, nice until we come back to the same point.
Beaut scenery out that way but it's a long ride ...

I reckon we do the usual BK at 6 leave 6.30, head straight up to the pub (sunnies an idea, lots of riding into the setting sun) then do Greta Valley on the way home ...

    Ja? Nein?

Would people rather do a shorter ride instead?

    Am keen either way.

I am aiming to be on main drag in Woodend at 6.45pm, sounds like at least some of you are keen for Hurunui, and it is great when the ride heads out this way!!

    Hurunui. Yes.
    Pizza. Of course.
See you all at the start of the motorway on-ramp at Chaney's or something,
