Off, Says who!
I appreciate the gesture of sharing guys....however I've not even crashed a car in the ...um lot of years I've been driving, I"ve skidded on wet road markings recently but saved it, closest I've had so far on New Zealand roads. I am confident I will have a turn at offing lol Next summers new bike is probably going to assist with that!
Having followed you Jen, and having led you ,
I think that you have a very good riding style.
Its really quite neat watching you on that Honda around the hills,
A couple of times I have seen you flick it out of the way of potential harm,
I doubt if we will see you kiss the tarmac unless you are accosted by one of N Z's fines cage drivers who SMIDSY.
Your next bike, when it arrives, will be peddled just as neatly too.
Yeah, guys take note, Jen dont need to ride at the limit to have just as much fun as everyone else

Hi Guys, really enjoyed the anzac day ride. Been 15yrs since I've owned a bike (well overdue) I'd love to come on the occasional WNR in the future. All my riding was in the Nth Island so everything is one big adventure again. Previous bikes were KL250 (1st) then a RZ350 (lots of fun) then I moved into an FJ1100 (did a lot of commuting between Akl and Tauranga then Thought I needed something a bit more sporty so I went to look at an FZ750, parked next to it and for the same money was a 1989 FZR1000 - you can guess what I rode out on...I will say being back on a bike again makes you well aware of what you learned and what you forgot. lol
well this thread is at the time of the year when it will almost die
but be sure there will be the odd ride most sundays starting from Burger King morehouse ave at 12pm
not big turnouts, but enough to make it fun..
Im sure that if you keep a keep eye in here you will spot sum of the other rides too
Welcome to the site
and welcome back to riding,
Take your time bud, winters here now, and our chch roads are still very greasy from the earthquake liquefaction
I have been nearly caught out twice by extremely slippery brown mud in the gutters over driveways
pity you sold the only good ride you had , the FJ1100![]()

The FJ was very comfy, actually I've had two of them. But I'm really loving the change to a V twin. Just love that sound! oh, and yup taking my time is a good thing too the Duc is very different to an inline 4.
Woohoo!.. I just got my bike back, having been thoroughly sorted by Ian. After not riding for 10 months, that ride home in heavy traffic in damp conditions was nevertheless glorious - I got home 40 minutes ago and am still grinning.
Anyway, just thought I'd give the thread a bump and remind everyone about tomorrow nights maintenance evening in case folks have forgotten.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!
Alas I'll not be there tonight, bit under the weather.
Have fun, maybe see you guys next time.
