Great to hear about the maintenance evenings starting back up

If there is an interest for a ride on sunday(due to the weather looking a bit rough tonight), I would be keen to come along and introduce...my new bike!

YUP!, due to the shoulder injury sustained last year by the drunk 4x4 driver, I have unfortunatly had to let "phatGirl" go
Good news is, she's going to a fellow Guzzi lover and KB member! (Auckland Chap)

bad news is....I have bought an arm chair!
Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday for a wee ride ...and please be gentle with me in regards to the cruiser, it was a case of having to if I wanted to keep riding

When Life thows me a curve
    ...I lean into it!

seeing as it is earthquake memorial day,i am in two minds.

should we ride to show solidarity and defiance?

or stay home as a sign of respect for those that, even if they wanted to,will/can never ride again?

    Sorry,but I am emotional today

Nothing to be sorry about M8 !

I use to service the lift at the PGC building many moons ago, building had a look that it had never been finished - a rushed job, always
bits of cement powder in the stairwell like the cement was breaking down (This was over a decade ago) Earnest Young building next door looks like it has never been in an earthquake, lives and limbs lost when it should have been condemned a long time ago. (Hindsight wonderful thing though eh - who would ever have thought we would have quakes in the first place)

Think a lot of it is hitting home now since do not have to deal with as many shakes etc, that coverage on 60 minutes other night was beyond sad, going to watch when a city falls on tv3 at 7.30 tonight.

Due to the forecast for tonight over the days would not be surprised if ya ended up being the only one in the BK carpark.

I hope everyone is well on this day of days.
I won't be along for a ride tonight even though it is lovely riding weather. Have fun to those that go and ride safe!

BTW, if you reread your post you said you wanted to be a "pavilion", that made the mind boggle lol., maybe the replacement for Jade stadium??

As the Toyota ad says .............. Bugger!!!!!

You look after yourself S, get better quickly.

Those pushbikes sound like they are dangerous things, I must keep away from them.

There was a beer festival at Riccarton Bush in the weekend just been where I spent and drank way to much (totally worth it at the time). Jumped on the push bike to head home and well didn't quite make it. I dont remember anything about the crash but from what I can figure from my injuries, I probably wobbled the front wheel into the gutter and curbed it.

There is no damage to my hands so I think I must have decided to go down with the ship so to speak (never let go of the handlebars until I hit the ground). Bounced off my left hip (bloody good bruise that one!), and and left shoulder (broken collar bone) and rolled over probably once to scrape my right elbow and ankle a wee bit. Finished up on my back in a garden. Woke up to a lady on the phone to an ambulance and got to spend the night in the hospital.

    Not a bad weekend really.
