Im probably going to get shit for this:
Anyone heading back over Gebbies Pass towards town might have noticed that dodgy patch of gravel on the corner before the hairpin, well it got the best of me. I ended up low siding and spinning of into the fence.
The bike isnt damaged too badly and was able to ride it home but it will still cost a bit to fix.
Someone who was nice enough to pull over who lived a little down the road seemed to believe a gravel truck had spilled some of its load there the day earlier.
I rang *555 and reported it but im wondering if you all think its worth chasing after the council for not keeping the road clear or just sucking it up.
I saw that one coming on the way home and crawled over it but it's in a really bad spot. Glad you're ok!
That road is well used, I would imagine the traffic would disperse the gravel in a day or two, definitely before the council ever got there. The council probably has a fair bit on their plate atm and we all know they can't multitask!
What happened to the bike?

you mean that patch of grey cement gravel from the back of a concrete mixer?
stood out like dogs balls.
Im sorry, but that was visible a long way back from the corner, reading it as a potential hazard was easy
Please never take for granted the condition of a road, always scan for hazards.
In saying that, Glad you and the bike are OK,
Always presume there is going to be junk on the roads around the bays,
Remember they service a large residential population,
Cagers like overloading trailers and have things fall off that we have to avoid.

I did see it and slowed for it but not enough i guess.
The bikes not too bad; bend bars, indicators, mirrors, screen, bend footpeg, bent screen frame, scratched and cracked fairings.....
