    I think it's just a fear/fright reaction.
It's like they've sat tight until the last moment then lost their bottle an made a run for it.
Getting run over by cars seems to be a very popular way for cats to die,,,I figure if ours live past the first two years,,then their also past that sort of sillyness an then tend to live for quite some time.
Dogs on the other hand,,,are just dumb.

I killed a fan tail at high speed, was large amount of blood down one side of the bike..

on that note of cats and running over,

The vet that I take my 2 retards too lives up the road from me, Ironically, his cat has no tail, he ran it over and had to cut it off, and his last cat died after he.. well ran it over..

The cat knows it's got nine lives and you have just the one?

All this talk of cats, yet nothing about the amazing combination or equal parts carrion to hawk creating a single, immobile entity waiting right on the apex?

    Well, shit.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

    Well, shit.
I've never actually hit one yet but by hell I've had some pretty close-up views of their feather patterns...

the road code refers to pesky animals (namely dogs) and how to deal with them when they run in your way
basically it says slow down on approach, give the bastards a fucking good boot, then gas it.

I use the same approach on dumb cunts in town walking out in front of me.

Ah fuck, I got them mixed up, I thought it was gas it, boot, then slow down. A power assisted falcon kick, if you will. Isn't that why they make Ti toe sliders?

I had one run out in front of me once leant into a corner at about 130k. I couldn't change direction so I just closed my eyes...

... and didn't hit it. No idea how much I missed it by of course.

Oh, and today with visor up at 55kph I got a bumblebee in the face. Pulled over and whipped the helmet off. It wasn't in there so I checked my face in the mirror to see a great big bumblebee sitting on my chin. Eeek! Fortunately I was wearing my balaclava so it didn't eat me. I quickly flicked it off with my gloved hand. I DONT LIKE BEES!
