The lathe started of life as a Seig C3..till it blow the
control board for the veri speed... So then a few mods happened.
Lathes comes with... 4 jaw chuck / live centre / 13mm drill chuck.

mill is MT2 draw bolt tapper with chuck arbor for 16mm chuck...
lifting gear box is 100:1 ( lot of wineding , needs to be powered)

they are nothing flash but they work...

The $350 your add says might be a good place to start

Would be interested if I was closer. Also, whats the backlash and smoothness of operation like on em? could be good selling points.

the lathes all adjustable ..backlash & gibs.. but it is small ..so you have
to keep checking carrige / cross slide & tail stock alinement...
You can get all parts from the US.. even with shiping
they are not over the top prise wise...from memory it cost
like $70nz to replace the plastic Hi/Lo gears with steel ones...

mill ..I just run the table slightly on the tight side...
it cuts smoother in one direction than the other...

    prise.... well what ever...
just not the room for 2 lathes & 2 mills...

Haha I just brought a bike, I dont have the money for this! I know someone who is looking for these items exactly, (my old man).. Besides I could always go back to my old highschool they let me go in sometimes and use their gear, I should really start using it so I can machine my stuff rather than hand make it like a maori

Crap. I really get frustrated with this country being long and narrow at times with places so far away from one another.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Yeah, do want, not sure how I'd pick them up though. Can drive up a rental truck for sure, but how would we get them on the truck? Open to suggestions.

You should manage with a trailer and car, as for loading and offloading..

Cut it up and reweld it when you get home? Hahaha
