    Trouble starting.

I have a 2009 Suzuki Gladius SFV 650. Almost identical set up as the older SV650 model that you are all probably more familiar with.
My problem is, first thing in the morning I turn the key and the display lights up, push the starter and instead of firing up like she always has done, the starter whurs once, like its about to turn over but then the lights go out, and just dies. Comes back on again immediately and push the starter again and it dies again. Then lights up again and usually starts again on the third try.
Does this sound like a battery problem to you? Once the engine has been run and is warmed up will start first time for the rest of the day.
Recently I have had a letter from Suzuki saying the regulator needs to be replaced due to a charging fault in the the design. Does it sound like it might be related?
Im a bit of a dunce when it comes to mechanics so, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks alot folks.

Yes, sounds like battery. Load test and ensure terminal connections are clean and tight.
