At the end of the day it's bucket RACING.
What goes on off the track is all good fun but kind of misses the point I think. Our collection of buckets all started out looking OK when they were built but crashing seems to be such a big part of the sport (at least the way I ride) that trying to keep them looking nice would be an exercise in futility and heartbreak.
I know you guys have some non competition prizes down there, up here we don't bother.

I once won worst engineered bucket. At the moment there is some quite stiff opposition for this title down here that I may not win it again in the near future. Certainly a good laugh... until it catches up with you and the bike spits you off when it has shit itself and you break a wrist.

I think this topic should have a thread devoted to it

I could enter it in both threads, in some countries slippers, tee shirt and shorts are considered safety equipment

In some counties, roller blade races around kart tracks in the dead of night, in the rain, after several hours of drinking are considered a good idea. I know somebody wore a crash helmet, probably a good thing, he fell over a lot.

I think we should have a prize for the biggest shit stirring bucket racer with the most impaired lung capacity. While you're polishing your trophy George you might want to take some time out fix my CBR suspension.

What do you mean 'are considered good ideas'? I don't think that we really considered anything beforehand....... That was an awesome weekend!

I think some of the less clever and more inebriatted of us considered, very briefly, firing up the bikes. Good thing there were wiser heads and rollerblades on hand. Indeed a weekend I'll probably treasure the rest of my days. You guys going to be repaired for the rematch in January?

I only recall one drunken idiot thinking taking the bikes out on the track was a good idea. Not sure anyone else was that drunk or that stupid.

Give me $1500 and I'll have your suspension working perfect.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

Same, but who knows. I still haven't got anywhere near being able to get medical clearance to race again, sigh.......
