Potential for best bucket thread ever?!

    1) Best/Worst Looking Bucket
    2) Best/Worst Engineered Bucket
    3) Cheapest Bucket based on $(a / Years(b x Races(c or whateva calculation you like!
    4) Most impressive Injury (on a bucket)
    5) Most broken bucketeer
    6) Most travelled bucket?
    7) + + +
    8) A scientific ratio calculating and totalling all-of-the-above!

...none involve who got where. At end of the day, everyone who turns up to race for whatever reason probably wins in some way - 100% faster than armchair experts and net warriors! bring on the flaming

No. 3 and 6.......paid $1000 for my FXR and did 3500 race km plus the km that Sketchy did and rebuilt it and only did the rod kit (mains cage was in two bits) and a set of rings.........now thats good value racing.

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.

Yeah, I reckon we just plan to go anyway and you and Malcolm can share the driving. I'm happy to come up even if not riding....

I'd be in to win this, lol! I bought my bike for well under $1000 and have used it as a commuter and bucket racer for the past 3 years and it has done in excess of 30,000k's in that time (almost gone round the clock!)..... it's hardly cost me much for maintenance etc either.

Though it'd probably be one of the 'shittiest' buckets around and I may well be one of the more "broken whilst racing away from home' racers in Welly's

    i second that motion.
30,000k in three years Str8? Feck. I've slowed down on the road riding and my almost 4yo bike's done over 40k. This winter seemed a killer and the k's just didn't seem to be going up. Roll on summer. I guess Max's k's have gone up a little bit (not much either). Good thing is Henk doesn't want bikes with over 50k on them, so I'm up for a new bike soon

Hmm, best I go shopping soon. (reckon he'll read this and tell me I've got to put up with the old bird for another year or two).

How about stupidest crash whilst in the pits award? Surely I could win that twice and I had an audience for both

Actually Yow Ling would have a really good entry for that one to although it wasn't on a Bucket

Not in the pits. Leaving a bike shop, dumped the bike.
Oh, dropping a bike back at a bike shop, go over a pole to dump the bike in the showroom.
Leaving home, skid out on the driveway - week off work (damaged my knees, yet again).
Hmm, plenty other stupid arse things I've done.

At one stage, I was riding a TTR125 four stroke off road to get some confidence on my KDX200. Race day rolled around, and I decided to take the KDX out. Only thing was I'd sort of forgotten how to ride two strokes properly. Every big sandy hill I got to, I got stuck on. Unfortunately, that meant that the lead rider got to see me stuck on every damned hill. Good thing he kept telling Henk I was making progress - I was stuck on yet another hill further on. Not long before the pits, there was yet another hill (3rd biggish one) so I decided enough was enough, and sat down to watch everyone else. Was about 5 minutes from the pits, I knew how easy it was to get back to "home", but just sat around for an hour or so. Think that was around the time I stopped riding the TTR.

But I think the worst crash I had was I ran into a tree. The reason for crashing was nasty (tree root) and months later (about 5), I got talking to a couple of people, who asked "oh, are you Michelle who crashed because of a tree root and had it written up in a magazine". Hmmm, I found out who my friends are.

Okay none bucket-related, but still all bike related stupid shit I've done

Hey -my old H100 survived its tenure in your hands. But then again it did break your foot. Almost did mine when I cartwheeled over Speedpro. Maybe I should have called it Christine
