    Early 1900s style 'motorbike'

the idea is to put something together that looks like the early motorbikes of the early 1900's, that were essentially motorised bicycles.
It's gonna be 48cc so I can rego it as a moped.
Here's the tank & frame & some other bits that are going into it, Im doing it in satin black.

Nice one. Where did the frame come from?
Have you seen these guys before - should give you a bit of inspiration.

& yeah, had a look at Derringer & a number of others. It seems that this (vintage looking motorised bicycles) is a growing fad in the US & Europe.

Cool! Whats the frame worth? You gonna import anymore? Or do a whole kitset? Or just one finished bike?

The frames are almost impossible to get here in NZ, as Worksman dont ship internationally, & the INB frames hardly ever come up on the US ebay. So you have to get someone else to send one over. It's taken 4 separate shipments from the US to get everything over here for this bike; Im getting the spokes & rims locally.
Im doing one initially; I wanna keep it, but my wife says I have to sell it. I may do more in the future depending on what sort of demand there is locally.

The guy with the bike shop in New Brighton in ChCh made a bunch of these sorts of things including ones with twin engines. They pop up on trademe occasionally. They are very cool...

In the US some are using motors that are clones of the GX200 motor, there's a CVT to go with the motor too

Put some parts together today. here's a pic of where it's at.
Waiting on a wheelset from the US. (Got a local bicycle shop to lace some rims to my new hubs; the rear rim they supplied was new & the front was old & untidy & wider than the rear ???!!! now they're messing about now & not resolving it for me - at the moment Im down 2 brand new hubs - so I decided to heck with the locals stuffing about & ordered a quality wheelset from the States).
