Smile Anyone keen to help me splice in a phone/RJ11 cable for my passport escort 8500?

    hi fellow bikers!
I recently picked up a VFR750 in good shape- and it's already got a DC cable of some sort loosely attached to the handlebars. However my radar detector takes an RJ-11 phone-cable style jack.
So anyone around here with a voltmeter /multimeter and crimping tools with a spare hour to help this saturday morn/arvo? I'll bring a beer or a subway sandwich
I figure if I pick up a phone cable (with the matching head, will double check that) and maybe an inline fuse, that should do. Also have the original passport escort cord which plugs into a cigarette socket, so we can double check the wiring that way.

    Cheers,

Make sure you use the stiffer stranded cable as the finer tape conductor type cable breaks easily.
