There wasnt much difference between an F2 and F3 except different shaped sump and thinner walls between the inlets which stopped them being modded. They also went from 11.6 to 12 odd compression and swapped the carbs over to keihin and added a cheap ram air.
They pretty much got most of their development feedback from Honda UK and they got theirs from the race scene. Its why later models had the mods they did.
Only real improvement on the F3 was adding rebound to the front shocks - which I've not measured up but might actually fit the f2.
