Cog Fork seals for a Honda Jade CB250?

Does any body know how much doing two front fork seals should costs for a Honda Jade (MC14)?

I'm in New Plymouth and got a quote from Honda in Stratford for about $350.

Alternatively, does anyone know a dealer in New Plymouth which is good to deal with?

not long shifted up here so just getting to hang of the place

    thanks!

    Jade = MC23
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

    Thanks Logpot

I checked my engine serial on the bike with the manual you provided
MC14 apparently. Not entirely too sure what the difference is?
Does this mean its an older motor installed on a newer bike?

It is a 4 cylinder according to the pipes

$250 to $260 if you drop the whole bike in. W do suspension and nothing else. How it could cost $350 is beyond me and our hourly rate is likely higher than theirs.

I am just curious, would you do it cheaper if someone brought only the forks themselves in?

The MC14 is for your engine only BTW, both the mc22 and mc19 bikes also have mc14 engines.

Some would say thats horribly confusing to call both the engine and chassis MC-XY, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to have a proper look at the service manual and serial positions.

There appears to be not a heck of alot of info on Jades specifically, its a moshposh of CBR and CB250 info.

    Yep MC14 is your engine.

If you check where your front forks connect with your frame you will find a number stamped in.

It will start with MC23 foillowed by 7 numbers. This is your chassis number and you'll need this for finding parts.

Told ya before - It's a Japanese Domestic Model with next to no english information available.

If you've got any questions I'll try answer them.
