    Best I've had...

On the McGregors pies website http://www.mcgregorsbakery.co.nz/ there's a number and a store location index. I rang the guy's and he managed to get me a couple of dozen sent up.

Currently I would have to say Lyttelton for a steak, bacon and cheese pie. There is an interesting shop in Te Anau sorta like a hole in the wall place that did some very nice pies when we were there last year.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

The Bucklands Beach Bakery does a handsome pie and no mistake

Muzza's is a good enough pie

Old Sid's Pie & Mash shop in Walthamstow was farking good as well

Bake your own, they eventually become the best...

Ventured into Onehunga the other day and called into Penny Lane bakery (just down from Dick Smith). They won a bronze or silver in the pie awards for one of their pies. So I bought one. Not too shabby!
