    Yamaha YSR80 - Bucket?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a Yamaha YSR80 fits into F4 or F5, and would it be competitive?

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

It'll fit into F4, but you'd be better off getting a YSR50 for F5. Plenty of go faster bits avail from here.

If it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, add a little more fully synth 2T to the mix.

You thinking of joining us in F5 then? Not enjoying A grade? We were talking about that last night. I'm enjoying wobbling in F5 more than B grade, I have to admit.

Wheels are pretty small, think about tyres & ground clearance, those engines are pretty old tech too.

To answer the original question. Two stroke 80 so F4.

    very cool

do it. i used (with Ryan Firn) a NSR50 with my GS125/145 engine in the 2 hour race a few years back and got a sixth place finish. I was crippled for weeks afterwards but if you can be bothered sourcing tyres from the US its worth it. We have an NSR80 in Hawkes Bay that is quite quick also and potentially very fast with the right bits.

Maybe some small euro engines from TM, ktm, or beta that are pushing them out the door in truck loads. Shame we only look at one area of the world for engine production
