    Secondary Schools Mini Moto GP

For anyone that is interested or has some time spare to go and have a look, the annual Secondary Schools Mini Moto GP will be held at Manfeild on Tues/Wed Oct 18 and 19.

Moto Academy NZ will be there on Wed 19 with a young rider to do some demo laps for the kids and just maybe get some interested in racing bikes.

We did get one rider from there in our 2010 group, sadly for us his passion is horses and he is doing that instead. But he was an excellent bike racer too!!

Yep, my cousin Ivan is taking part. Tried to get him to build a serious bike with a swingarm front end like the Bimota 3D but he wanted to stick with a more traditional design

Hope it all goes well and everyone has great day.

I think it is more of a case of some schools allow it as a course for their students and others don't.

bone caring was something I learnt in about 4th form, leaving age is a bit of a late start isn't it?

I think CHBC enters it, wish it had been around when I was there

WHEN I am famous I will definitely remember: K2 Racing (Wharfy), Ride Life (Alex Hockly), RaceFairings.co.nz (Billy), Motodynamics.co.nz (Shaun Harris), Jeff Whitehead, Moto Academy (Steve), Victoria Motorcycle Club (VMCC), and the Crofts.

Think its open to all schools! as part of design/technology studies. There is also a similar comp for grasskarts.
If your school was like my eldests and prefered knuckle-dragging rugby playing kids to those with any interests outside that............ then forget it.
Probebly why most kids in the area go on to milk cows & drive tractors and live at home until they are 40............... thank god we moved ours to another school.
