One owner from new. Used as daily commuter and distance touring bike. This is the final year of production of these motorcycles and as such is the model with the upgraded suspension, better handlebar geometry and bigger 19L fuel tank. Older models come equipped with a nervous front end and a 16L tank. While touring I have had 270km+ out of my bike. The fuel low indicator comes on when there is 5L left in the tank and in the second picture at 210km it still isn't flashing yet.
Mechanically in perfect condition, brake pads replaced at 42,000km and full 48,000km (the large one including valve clearances, required every 24,000km) service done. During this service the chain and sprockets were replaced with high quality products and the front sprocket has gone down one tooth size - this lowers the gearing, giving better acceleration. This bike has never had a fault of any sort bar one instance shortly after purchase where the throttle wouldn't totally roll off, leaving it to idle 1k above normal. This was fixed roadside in minutes. Extremely reliable piece of machinery.
Includes twin Scorpion slip-on mufflers which currently have the silencers out but are easily reinstalled. Tinted double bubble screen provides better protection from wind blast at motorway speeds. Bike is shod with Bridgestone BT-016 2CT rubber. Still has 80% life left.
Sale will also include Oxford heated grips which are not currently installed but can be put on for the right price.
Minor blemish on the paintwork where one of my less careful pillions wore down the paintwork on the rear cowling. As it is a small and simple part of the bodywork respraying will be cheap if you choose to do this.
No tyre kickers please, if you don't have the cash you don't get to test ride the bike.
