As patronising as this may sound, it's not meant to be, he's almost there but really needs to think it through a little further. What happens if your state does something at odds with national law? Will your state be embargoed? How do you generate "wealth" for your state in that situation? For that matter, removing the 1:9 ratio of fiat money will bring on a recession, if that's what it could be called, that would absolutely anihilate the global economy and cause travesty on a scale that would be much worse than we currently have (think Africa, India etc...).

Gold is money, as is silver, after all they all have values that change given "economic" changes... as do cows and chickens (although a chicken is more valuable than a cow

) etc... It's that representation of value that's the problem... the currency is pretty much irrelevant.

If there is a finite amount of money in the world, how do you pay for the next generation without sending the current generation to the poor house? The more people there are, the more money you need, which unfortunately means plucking some more off of that invisible money tree. It simply doesn't work, can't work, never has worked and never will work without the generation of more money. (unless you use no exchange mechanism at all)

I agree with the student, his tuition should be free. Shame he doesn't really understand why... as the camera man says, he's just waving his christmas list around in the hope that he'll save a few bucks.

funnily enough there were 2 unemployed people out of the 50(ish) that introduced themselves... most were students. Could be an interesting week or few

Have to be careful blaming the 1% ers´by worldwide standards anyone earning $40,000 dollars is in the top 4% in the world. Funny how everyone was quiet about the unfairness of the system when the "capitalist pigs" were keeping everyone sweetened up with payouts.
