'Forum' is a privileged word for a user title. 'Admin' is also.
I'd guess it's a feature in vBulletin to prevent users impersonating administrators.

Thats weird Gareth. I just typed in forum in my username and checked it and it came up with no stars. Spankme must hate you or something.

Gareth, I've had a play and although you can't have 'forum half whore' as your custom user title, you are able to have 'my bike is shit' if you so desire.
EDIT: I tell a lie, it now accepts forum. Maybe the omnipotent one had a quick tinker.
