Is that when you ride a 2 stroke with your hand on your knob?

$750 seems bloody steep for an FXR exchange engine if you ask me, mind you from what I've seen most of the stuff they are selling is way overpriced, for FXRs anyway.

Emailed him about the FXR but no reply. His motor exchange scheme is such a joke. I offered $800 for the engine and electrics etc

Didn't even see the exchange part. $750 is steep enough for the whole engine!

Yup. That's what I'm chasing but can't get a hold of anyone who'll take my dosh in exchange for one of their top notch motors. Fucks sake, no wonder the economy's buggered, no one wants to sell anything.

For $800 I would want the entire bike, and I to would be telling him were to stick his engine exchange.

But hey that might just be me (but I doubt it)

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

My mate has an RGV150 framed bucket with a TS125 motor and CR85 chamber. It has an FXR150 front wheel and RG150 rear wheel and he has slicks on them (which I think are semi toasted, miiiight be ok once heated up again... I dunno). It's pretty much a complete bucket but needs a little love. He said he would sell it for $400. If you bought that even for just the motor you could sell the rims and frame, petrol tank etc and probably get a $200 motor that could potentially be a rocket with some work.

Rick52 had a TF125 (I think) which is pretty much the same and that bike was a rocket at the 2 day meeting at Kaitoke a couple weeks ago and he probably isn't even finished hotting it up yet. Let me know if anyone is interested. (It has a 23mm carb on it atm, max allowed is 24mm).

I would (of course) always go with the 2 stroke build. However you need to ask yourbadself whether you want to get your hands dirty sorting out chambers, porting head machining etc.

The TF with a standardish pipe will punt an unimpressive 12hp at a pedestrian 8000rpm. Just right for lugging that pregnant ewe up the hill or whatever it is that farmers do with them.

They can be made into a reasonable engine for kart tracks, they lack some potential, but heavily modified 20hp should be about right. More likely 16 which would be FXR level.

So have you got the time & skill to build one, or money to pay for someone to sort it?

4 stroke is the easy route it has to be said.
Don't you look at my accountant.

I'm glad someone mentioned something about the engine. I don't know what it's capable of but I'm surprised it's only around 20hp. Rick's TF was faster than my FXR with hot cams and carb. I think the only difference between the TF and the TS is the gearbox, am I right?
