...and Edwards to retire instead of taking up the CRT "ride to nowhere".

    That would not surprise me.
They have one more race to go, and I expect a surprise on the podium, if Aoyama and the team can handle getting out there and riding.
After Kato died, the next race his team mate won, but when you look at the video, I'm sure Rossi let him win it (indicating number one lol).
Not sure Rossi will ride again, but whatever the riders' decisions, thanks for everything, and we will be missing Marco as well.

the fast bikes and riders now will be the fast bikes and riders next year.Note the bike and the rider must be fast...
transaltion is Stoner,Pedrosa, and Lorenzo will be the contenders.I dont think the Ducatis will be fast enough.I will be very surprised if any of the CRT bikes(or riders) will be fast enough

I think Stoner will get a huge buzz out of the Thous and race 2012 and 2013 then stop. After he's won the title both years.

Rossi will start the year but retire before the end of it as the Ducati will still be a pile of dung.

Somehow I don't think Stoner will feel his business is finished.

I had a real bad feeling the other day that something was gonna happen. Stink!

I will not be surprised to hear that Edwards and Rossi will retire immediately.

I think I would if I were them.

I predict that Crasher will break down and cry when Shaun's prediction comes true.

I also predict that Ducati redesign their engine so that it's more compact, put the twin beam chassis in the bin, get the GP11-ish design back on track and start winning again with both Rossi and Nicky back and the front.

    I don't cry when I'm wrong. I just sulk.

And I hope you're right. Love to see them both back at the pointy end.

Twitter is reporting from Ucchio and Brivio - both saying that Rossi is most definitely NOT considering retiring and is unhappy with any suggestions that he will.

    "UccioYellow46 UccioYellow46
Per quelli che lo chiedono, Vale non sta pensando assolutamente di smettere... Mi dispiace che girino queste notizie false in momenti cosμ."

What @UccioYellow46 just posted was "for those asking, Vale is absolutely not thinking of retiring. Very unhappy at wrong news like this"

    Davide_Brivio Davide Brivio
Many are asking about Vale stopping races. This not absolutely true and I'm sorry even that I have to explain it…
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

About as likely as him breaking the lap record on the one wheel.

Rossi and his team have come out saying categorically that they are not remotely considering retirement and that Rossi is still committed to racing. Colin Edwards though...?
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
