Stink - I thought this was about running away from actual bears. You gotta be pretty quick cos those bears can run real fast...

if sheriff's was riding your bike there would not be a problem cause he's slow like me

Bit behind the times at the mo... so explain, is this because the engine is Jap? (Im asuming not) I know nothing of these car engined things? surley not a HP thing?
BEARs have baned bikes down here like Bimota's with Jap engines etc.

Yep, it's a funny situation but is it any funnier than having a separate class for BEAR's full stop? The S1000RR is just a sharper GSXR/CBR/ZXR/R1 clone so excluding an S1000RR from BEAR's is no different to excluding a GSXR/CBR/ZXR/R1. Nowadays the whole BEAR's thing is a bit farcical and will only get worse as the Aprilia's, KTM's, Duc's, BMW's, MV's etc just get faster.

I agree with you 100%. They can race their old classic Brit and American bikes by all means...but the rest of them should harden the fuck up, and race with the masses. Both of them could do with the extra numbers!

    BMW's have a BMW engine.

If you have a little read between the lines, it could be that the series sponsor is having a little cry and wants the only bike that poses any possible threat to them winning title number 1700 excluded from winning more than they can help.

If you were into that sort of conspiracy of course..........

100% FALSE!!! This has nothing to do with Suzuki New Zealand, so please don't drag them into it. I am one of the organisers so I know the reasons why and why not.
And also - Choppas original title of "BMW excluded from Tri Series" is very misleading. We have NO issues with BMW or any other brand (Japanese or non-Japanese) for that matter.

Oh cool, someone's turned up to tell us why Sloan Frost can't race an S1000R in the BEARS class at the Tri Series.
