And the only one to have won a championship on the Duke. I'm a Rossi fan, dyed-in-the-wool, but I still have to congratulate Stoner.

Lawson and Rainey yes, Schwantz, possibly but more because of how he rode but not by out right titles...
I'd say if he wraps up another world title which he probably will he'd make "legend status". Not sure why but i've always thought 3 world titles sort of gets you to place where you can be called a "legend".

Still...I can't see Stoner wanting to go on forever like a lot of them do. He doesn't strike me as the sort of ego driven guy that wants to own records etc...simply loves winning races, and will quit when he stops having fun doing so.

When you're next having a coffee at Stoner's place you should ask if he and his skinny wife would be into a threesome...

I think Rossi's amazing total of races wins won't be beat for some time...if ever.
Maybe, maybe not. If Stoner were to get the right run through the years it's possible, he's young enough.

I agree on this point, not many people have been there...
Maybe he should try F1, see if he can join Surtees in an even more rarified company.

Just on the sly...I'm actually a bit of a Rossi fan too. Always have been. But it's more fun winding up the full on Rossi fans than it is joining in.

I have always been a Stoner fan and have a standing bet with a couple of mates who are Rossi and Lorenzo supporters. Cost me a few bucks last season but this year its coming back double.
