Meanwhile back at Mugello... (And I am just a tad envious of you globetrotters)
Stoner was criticised for a hard move on Petrucci in practice which is ironic considering Stoner's usual stance on dangerous riding.
Hayden has still not received an offer from Ducati.
Crutchlow has, but it has not been finalised yet.
The man everybody is waiting for, gave an interview to a packed house. Rossi denied trying to influence the factory's choice of his team mate, he said he would be happy to have either Hayden or Crutchlow. He has worked with Hayden for years both at Honda and Ducati, and considers Crutchlow the funniest guy in the paddock. He also said that he'd like to stay at Ducati but that would involve risk as the team has been trying to sort the bike for 18 months without success.
That last comment looks like a shot across Presiozi's bows, but there aren't too many other options available to Rossi now. It appears there is a factory Yamaha ride yet to be decided, and then possibly one or two at Tech 3 depending what happens with Crutchlow, and whether Spies or Dovi gets the nod for the factory ride.
Also, now that the Audi deal to buy Ducati is about to be finalised, Rossi's FIAT sponsorship would look doubtful if he stays.
It would be interesting to know if Bautista has a contract with Gresini for next year? The period of mourning apparently being over, the Gresini bakes are back in white for Mugello.
Lorenzo has been seriously impressive in practice. Yamaha have at last got a sponsor, and no, it's not FIAT.

Was just reflecting on changes in the speed and quality of information available to us racing fans. I used to wait three months for a magazine that contained a few black and white photos. A few years later if Hugh Anderson won in the Isle of Man that might get a mention in the National Programme lunchtime news, sometimes also perhaps a photo in the newspaper?
Now we have riders, mechanics, managers, and others sending instant messages from the pits on Twitter, there are podcasts with up-to-date interviews of riders, managers etc, and there are dedicated websites such as Motomatters and GP One.
Then we have live, or almost live, coverage on TV. I'm becoming very interested in the MotoGP Video pass too, with the Apple TV I'd be able to watch that on the 42" screen.
As Fred Dagg said, "We don't know how lucky we are."
