I can't quote him exactly but he said words to the effect, all riders start a new season on zero points with Race Direction.
He said the public tend to look at the outcome of an accident whereas race direction are more focussed on the cause.

Simoncelli received a more serious penalty than Bautista because Simoncelli had been warned about his riding on a number of occasions previous to the crash he caused. Bautista had not received warnings, but it was felt that the error he made was larger than could be excused for a rider at that level, so he had to receive some penalty.

This would also explain why Rossi received no penalty for bringing down Stoner.

What a crock of fucking shit. How does he reason, that Lorenzo doing EXACTLY the same fucking thing to Nicky Hayden at Phillip Island as Bautista did to Lorenzo is any different?

They're not that hard to push start mate. Just need to use 3rd gear.

Yeah but pushing 260 odd kgs off the start line would bugger you before the race even started.
Luckily I haven't had to try push starting mine.

Yep, they may just ride scooters but they follow MotoGP as fervently as KBers.

Mention MotoGP and you get "Rossi, Rossi"..............
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Mzybe you need to read it again? They are more interested in causes than results, and neither Lorenzo nor Hayden were mentioned.
What he said made sense to me.

Should you want to listen to the whole podcast - and you've got a lazy three hours plus? Knock yerself out

Get real. How 'bout you tell me the difference. Lorenzo and Hayen weren't mentioned of course. Why would they be? It's a few years ago. But what's the fucking difference? Was not Lorenzo banned from a race for his perceived dangerous riding not long before the phillip Island 'event'? Mike Webb and 'Race Direction' wank themselves about how fair they are, and yet, they have double standards depending on who does what! Rossi blatantly cuts inside of the track and gains an advantage over Stoner (Laguna Seca 08) who nearly crashes trying to avoid a collision.

Rossi bashes his own team mate at Montegi tying to prove a point, when Lerenzo has already proved who is the fastest.

They've all bashed fairings with each other, they've all got it wrong on occaision. It's fucking bullshit in my opinion to punish Bautista when the other 'stars' haven't been punished for basically the same fucking things.

Apart from his taking out of Gibernau when he was a Newby...have you ever seen Stoner fuck some other cunt up?

Perhaps you really should listen to the interview? You may still disagree, but then you'll actually know precisely what you are disagreeing with. It's quite possible my brief summation didn't do Webb's comments justice, but I thought he made his case.

Of course Marquez may test the sytem and Race Direction can confirm that it is unbiased. Or not?

And as for Stoner "fucking somebody up"? Not for at least a week!

So explain Stoner t-boning Alvaro, and Race Directions response (which was allowing Casey to apologise, which apparently he did before he was asked too).

Agreed, but under race start conditions it becomes something a little different.
I know I'm older but I thought at least someone on here was my vintage and had experienced them. My heart seemed like it was going to jump out of my chest.

You call that T boning? Was nothing compared to Rossi's moves onLorenzo in Japan. And don't get me wrong...I'm all for it. But they've gotta be consistant...which they're not.
