I mean, he's not even as successful as Abraham was when he made the (premature) jump to the GP, and look how well that's gone. I mean no disrespect to Smith, as he obviously has heart, and more talent than many in his current field, but it seems all too obvious that he will be taking up space over the next couple of years.
With talent like Luthi, Iannone, Espargaro, and a host of others who haven't signed a GP deal yet, it's nothing short of wasteful. Even the passport argument doesn't work. Two British riders? What the hell?
