Enthralling race. Thought Lorenzo had got him but Stoner had the balls to hang on. The top four guys all did great under really tough conditions but especially Crutchlow... that's a huge step up.

Randy de Puniet did well until stopping with what looked suspiciously like no fuel. Bradl looked at home in MotGP. Dovi and Bautista solid.

Spies? WTF that's a factory Yamaha you're flushing down the toilet!

i thought the moto3 was a great race for the minor placings but that freneti dude was in another league.the bikes sounded way awesomer than the 2 smokers I reckon
moto2....awesome,with some standout rides from Redding,Marquez & luthi. Smith?
Motogp....i reckon Rossi will spit the dummy soon.

Stoner finally won at Jerez, eh! Good to see Lorenzo keeping him honest too. Was hoping Dovizioso and Hayden might keep up with Pedrosa and Crutchlow as there was some entertaining passing in the opening laps... Apparently (according to their post-race tweets), Dovi wasn't feeling good on the bike but feels they can get there, while Nicky admitted his early abuse of the tyres meant he couldn't keep up the pace. It also looked to me that Rossi might have enjoyed his race battles somewhat (even if they were far further down the field than he would prefer)... Seemed a bit more upbeat post-race too.

Being Lorenzo's teammate has got to be a soul destroying job. Week in week out of just not good enough after an entire career of coming out on top. Better men than he have said "Say... that's a nice looking Ducati".

Good racing in all classes. I really thought Lorenzo had him. Tyre choice seems to be the issue...I dunno..crutch less had the hard front on his yam but he could,t get past pedrosa. Interesting to hear pedrosa say he was too cautious at the start, which cost him any chance. Great to see Hayden staying with them for a while. Spies should start worrying about now....that was a dreadful performance on a top bike...he should be fighting it out near pedrosa.

    Indeed. Still...imagine how Pedrosa feels.

Agree. Spies has gone queer. Too much lycra wearing on his bicycle.

Yeah but Pedro can beat Stoner in qualifying and the race on a reasonably regular basis. But I can see your Stoner fanboy lust is in full heat so I'll say no more

I can happily admit on the day Pedrosa is the fastest man on two wheels and untouchable. Just doesn't happen often enough for him to be a title contender. Unlike Lorenzo. And even if Stoner offered up his butt, I'd turn him down. Though his ears look like good handles.

Crutchlow is impressing me - if not Rachel. He'll give it a nudge, and in the absence of Simoncelli he's the nearest thing to an action man we've got currently. He has been a world champ in one of the more hotly contested classes too. I hope he can keep it up.

Wanna bet that if Marquez makes it to MotoGP the "rookies must ride satellite bikes" rule gets bent way outa shape, if not broken? I note that there's already talk of rules being "bent" this year. It all adds interest I guess.

I was thinking after the race, in parc ferme, that the three aliens get on too well. Mutual respect and all that shit... can you imagine what it would have been like if Simoncelli had been there kicking their doors down... sigh.
