I wonder how Mr Spies feels about Georgie-boy 2nd, satellite Yamahas 4th and 5th, satellite Hondas 6th and 7th, and himself in 11th.

Still along way to go in the season......but.......

Wanna bet that if Marquez makes it to MotoGP the "rookies must ride satellite bikes" rule gets bent way outa shape, if not broken? I note that there's already talk of rules being "bent" this year. It all adds interest I guess.
Never said he hadn't impressed me, just that he seemed like an arrogant douche

Granted he seems to be on form this year! Awesome to see new blood! Hopefully he goes from strength to strength (not that it will help that ego of his, but hey maybe that's why he is doing so well??)

battle lines at the front are as expected the yamaha looks like it can battle with the honda so far.I reckon as the season goes on we will see some good battles with dovi crutchlow, bradl and Bautista.Spies will surely be battling with these guys at least.

Yes - down from four aliens to three...............

Bradl has done better on the LCR than anyone, including Stoner so who knows?

Spies? I can't understand him. One would have thought the thous wuld would suit him better than the 800s.

You're memory is failing. Stoner put his on pole in one of his first races and nearly won the third race. Before they had control tyres too.

The remark "better than Stoner" was based on the fact that (so far) he hasn't biffed like Stoner did while trying to make haste on a less than perfect MotoGP bike

Personally, if I was a team manager, I'd rather have a guy that puts it on pole in his second race, and nearly wins his third. Get much more tv time for starters. Old rule...you can teach a fast guy to stop crashing easier than you can make a slower guy faster.

Hey, thanks for that. Have to give him credit for saying what he thinks..................

Didn't like some of the moves he made at Jerez - but I s'pose he's racing and not too different to Simo's 'take no prisoners' style.

Like the Moto2 boys did with Marquez at Jerez after his move on Luthi at Qatar, I think the big boys won't be afraid to put Cal in his place if he gets too boisterous.

Marquez got told off by Race Direction after Qatar.
Obviously it didn't work, so they up the ante and one of the Moto3 lads got hisself banned for Portugal..

Yeah I reckon if he carries on like that in Moto GP, he'll be shown the kitty litter pretty smartly. Real pity Simo not still around. He'd introduce him to it.

'Bringing it home' is a quality a lot of team managers are looking for. And Bradl's done that, in a good position while not in peak condition too.
