Recorded it to watch this morning.
Tragic news, condolences to team friends and family.

An obvious MotoGP star in the making, such charisma, personality and a wicked sense of humour, something the MotoGP paddock sorely needed.
RIP Simo, died doing what he loved.

    Terrible news.

I was shocked to read this in an article......

Popular with fans thanks to his good looks, Jimi Hendrix T-shirts and wild hair which forced him to wear a helmet one size larger,

totally gutted that Marco has gone, he was the kind of firebrand racer the Motogp needed

Yeah I thought that may have been the case but you can actually see when the helmet is rolling along the the D buckle is done up and the helmet strap is flapping so clearly the strap has broken at the fastening point.

It would have come off even if it was a size too small in this incident

I dont have a problem with the reply of incidents, it answers questions in peoples minds and helps people understand what happened. I personally dont find it disrespectful in anyway. Sometimes there could even be something to learn on watching the footage. I would never have thought my bike could spear off if im trying to pick it up off my elbow but if the wheel is turned toward the track and you do manage to regain some traction then you have the potential to swerve back into the path of the other riders. This will always be in my subconscious and its surprising how quick your mind works in these situations for you to remember

I can understand why some people dont like it replayed but you have the choice to look away. (if your quick in this case)

    R.I.P....Ride In Paradise Marco

...watching that helmet roll into the infeild ...such a great loss to the sport

I didnt have the choice it just showed it quickly, and if people wanna see that shit they can look it up on the internet

Who is learning by putting in on mainstream news, not many people to be honest, most people who are watching it dont ride.

The news is getting progressively more morbid

Showing Gaddafi's dead body? Just the knowledge of his death is enough, why do we need to see these things?

But yeah it is a freak thing hey? who would have thought that was going to happen

I think the point being the vultures wouldn't have shown the race at all had that not happened.
