    Thumbs up Hyosung Comet 250

This has been my Daughters' Learner bike. She's nearly 17 y/o and coming up to her 6F very shortly so it's the end of an era for her, and of course the beginning of a whole new one.

As is the tradition, first dibs go to KBers.

Super-clean condition. Earlier model exactly the same as later ones, except has electric fuel pump which is 100 times easier to get going if you run the bike out of fuel, and it also has the main/reserve/off valve.

Kept in top shape by mechanic dad who was kept in check by picky Daughter. Has been a super reliable bike. 350km on a tank of gas. Super easy-to-ride bike for newbs, but will corner hard with the right rider - ask anyone who has been on the ladies rides, Alexandra can scrape this bikes' stand on the road anywhere she chooses!

Lowered as far as it will go - particularly suit lady rider. Can raise it up a bit if you like.

250R Backstep brackets fitted - raises riders knees a bit. Great for short-stuff rider, or just a bit more sporty feel than the standard Comet.

This engine has been rejetted (not by us), and goes REAL well. It revs out much more eagerly than the other (3) Hyo 250's we have had. It's noticeably quicker.

Super sticky Dunlop GPR A10 wide low-profile tires with enough tread for a couple of WOFs. I rode this bike back from Auckland (3 hours) in torrential rain taking no prisoners, and I am damn impressed with this rubber - not a single wriggle from it. These are 160/60 and 120/60 - a far better profile than the standard tires. The bike is much more stable to ride, especially at speed, as the Comets are known for their twitchy front end at over 120k.

Semi-automatic chain oiler fitted. Squeeze-and-ride, and it wipes oil on your rear sprocket for the next 10-15 mins. A LOT less dicking around than an oil can or spray, and does ten times better job. Takes ATF oil.

Recent new speedo cable, WOF, rear brake rebuild.

Great learner bike. Really good commuter. Capable tourer even - happy all day on the open road two-up!

Can deliver anywhere in the central north island for gas money only.

Performance shock and exhaust have been removed. Strongly recommend a Screaming Demon pipe on this bike.

We know everything about these Hyos, so if we can do any mods for you before you take it away, we'd be glad to help. Can fit packrack, HID lights, hotgrips etc. Bring it along and we'll bolt it on.

Nothing hidden. Buy and ride home to anywhere in NZ with confidence. An honest bike.

    Rego expire(s/d) 13/6.

    PM please.

Goes on trademe next week. First in - best dressed.
