    FS: 1996 Toyota Celica - 171,000KM - $5,500KM o.n.o

    Hi All,

Once again - not a bike so I've put it in Rant/Rave.

Due to selling my car and buying a bike (thread here), the wife has decided we need a bigger car than the Celica - especially since we have a dog to worry about.

    TRADEME LINK

Great example of the Celica. With the reliable 3S-GE engine. Economic around town with plenty of power for the open road and overtaking plus sporty handling means amazing driving.

2 rear 6x9 speakers in parcel tray, infinity components in front and 3 way speakers in rear arm rests.

Some fading on exterior above rear windscreen and around headlights

Rego and WOF due this month, Car will be sold with new 6 month rego and new WOF.

Interior in good condition, normal wear and tear. Always had seat covers to protect the seats from wear.

PM me for more details or to arrange viewing etc.

    Few pics:

Wife formerly worked for MOJ so Carjam might not give you any details.

There's one in every forum - two thus far in this one...

I love people who claim to know the value of a vehicle before they've even checked the vehicle out.

As for the head rest cover, that was left there as we have removed the seat covers to show the condition of the seats underneath. Give the buyer a better idea.

And yet the fact that it is a fantastic handling car AND an auto is what attracted my wife to it. Someone who can't afford two cars but spent a significant amount of time in stop go traffic yet still wanted to be able to enjoy the odd swift drive when she could.

I've always been a bigger fan of manuals but even I was impressed with the car driving it back from Gore Bay to Christchurch.

I was going to ask you JimO to go away if you have nothing positive to contribute, however, your above post allowed me to highlight one of the key benefits to this car. So thanks then, I suppose.

You've chosen to attempt to sell a car in the open section of a bikers website, you'll have to take all the shite that's given out, that's part n parcel of it.

We don't need to check it out, you've put all the details up there on TM right? A 15 year old auto with 170k

For comparison, here's an even older model (one year older) but with lower KMs http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-363160343.htm @ $3300, looks like it has been on TM since March. Here's a 2001 newer-shape for $6k http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-416946986.htm

Good luck with your sale, you may as well go with $5.5k and see if you get any bites, can always reduce it if you're not having any luck.
