    Course help

Ok time to stop loafing around and siting on my ass. (not now Hitcher, can't be arsed)

I'm checking the BOP Polytech and Wintec web pages trying to figure out what the best course is for me to take in order to apply for an aprenticeship at a bike shop.

So far I have found this one from BOP polytech and this one from Wintec.

I don't know wich one would be best for me and I plan on spending the rest of the week going to both schools and talking to someone there who might be able to help me decide. Cost isn't an issue what I need to know is wich one will give me the best in work experiance and actuall knowledge. Also wich school has other courses that I might choose to take, like this one on welding and Machining and this one from Wintec.

What I eventually want to do is have my own bike shop where I can build Custom bikes of any type, including sport bikes, and do the servicing and maintanence of all makes and models of bikes.

Looking at next year. Need to find myself a day to day job first.

Don't need to use your welding kit mate I got my own. Just don't know how to use it.

hey waylander don't waste your time on non-bike related courses as half the stuff is irrelevant to bikes(ie;don't fill ya head up with shit ya don't need!!)
get on the weltec website and look up the motorcycle engineering course it covers a broad range of all the skills ya need.
it's also the only motorcycle specific course in the southern hemisphere as far as i know.
i am on it at the moment almost finished, but if you really wanna do that stuff tou say you should get into this and then maybe a welding and fabrication course after ! worth a look anyway
i have yet to have the misfortune to shart in a public place

Problem is I can't afford to move to Wellington. Otherwise I would take that course. I've talked to a few bike shops here and they say that in order to get an apprenticship I need to complete one of these courses or one similar that give the same skill sets.
