    Wtd: Ruapuna details.

Haven't really met anybody from Kiwi Biker in person and Ruapuna seems to be the meeting place for Chch. Got invited to make an appearance way back, but because I've never been there got some questions:

    1. where is it
    2. entry fee for spectators (adults and children) (have no race licence/insurance or protection gear so no track time for me)
    3. date/time of events or how to find out about them
    4. (insert your question and matching answer)

Unfortunately, University has resumed so it's unlikely I'll have any free time for appearances at Ruapuna till after the mid-October exams.

    Thank you.

Ruapuna is about 10 or so mins ride from uni, just go down yaldhurst road till you get to yaldhurst, then about 200m after the 100km zone starts again after going through yaldhurst turn left, its signposted. Go through one intersection and then ruapuna is about 1km down that road on the right, its pretty hard to miss.

At all the rounds we race at there is no admission charge, just pop out on a sat or sunday afternoon sometime a meeting is on.

Next bucket round is the 14th of august, come out and say hi. My bike is number 14, kickaha is 83, we will all be in the same vacinity.

Could be worse we could live in Auckland and only have that shithole Pukekohe to ride on

Had a look through the site. The "Events Calendar" had dates and activities.
Is there a legend explaining what those TLA mean?

Or did I miss the link regarding the motorcycle events?

At least it's got some proper fast corners to test your nerves, unlike that meandering goat track you call a circuit.

Well, once upon a time the Welly Crew, led by Mr White Trash ventured to Ruapuna and kicked some arse.

Fuck off - the left hand bend off the front straight is insanely fast.

I'll take a goat track over an airport runway any day.

    Ruapuna is the shiz.

Kicked some arse , well next time I'll bring the bucket out to give you some real competition as no one else seems up to it

If you liked Ruapuna I reckon you'd like Levels as well, perhaps for your next trip you could head a bit further south

Well if you're lucky enough next time I might have a running sidecar to take you for a lap or two, that'll test your nerves alright
