trying to find the owner of a plate

'm looking for a particular personalised plate that hasn't been on a vehicle for several years. How do I do this?

You need Mr Policeman to help you OR you can write to the owner of the plate care of NZTA.

You will need to check as to which dept at the NZTA will forward your letter, but it should get there eventually.

Go to a Post Office, pay your money and they will tell you the owner.

Don't ask a Policeman, friendly or otherwise, as it could cost him/her their job.

You fill out form mr31 https://transact.nzta.govt.nz/transa...ess/entry.aspx

    Its cost is $15.

Officially the stance is that if the person has "opted out" you will not be given the information.

However, the NZTA seem to be ignoring the opt out, as nzprivacy.com report that they release information on opted out individuals 97% of the time.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
