    Summer boots

    Hey

What does everyone wear in the way of boots during summer? Wear Alpinestars over winter but holy crap they are roasting hot when the temperature gets up a bit. Need something with airflow in an ankle boot I guess but interested in what others wear and can recommend or steer me away from, hopefully under $300.00

    Cheers

Anything other than full leather will be a compromise as far as safety goes. However some heavy hiking/hunting boots come in calf length and have lighter mesh panels built in to allow the feet to breathe.

My current pair of Sidis have a little vent by the foot, you can open.
Don't know if it does much, espec. on 38 deg days but........

    Huh?
I wear my StylMartin StylSafe boots all year round - they seem to be comfy in all conditions (like the rain tonight). Maybe the kevlar panels on the outside of the inner boot keep the weather (heat, cold, water) out. Oh - they've also been tested for tramping - great for that too....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
