    Cleaning a titanium exhaust?

I have a 4 into one that I am trying to clean up. It's already in quite good nick but has dirt, tar, oil stains etc and I am going to be careful and ask questions first. Goes against the grain but there you go! Have put Emer gel on which brightened things up but that is all I have tried so far. TIA

According Akrapovic who make a lot of Ti exhausts, WD40 is the shiz (http://www.akrapovic.com/motorcycle-...ance-and-care/)
I've also heard of people using orange or lemon pledge on Ti with good results.

It's pretty hard to stuff Titanium as it naturally forms a thin layer of Titanium Oxide on the surface, so as long as you're not using anything abrasive or strongly acid based you're probably OK.
As with anything valuable though, I'd recommend testing on a small spot out of sight to be safe.

I use WD40 on my mufflers with excellent results, but I'm careful to clean that off with a clean dry rag in case it burns on there.
I use pledge on my rims (anodised) which also works really well at repelling dust.

The strongest solvents you can find !! Just make sure they are wiped off or evaporated before starting bike again..

You will never hurt Ti unless you use abrasives as mentioned, or try cold chiseling off lumps of grime.
