Christchurch Defensive Driving Course (DDC)

The New Zealand Defensive Driving Course is a great way to learn more about what you need to do to keep alive on NZ roads. It encourages you to look at your bike, yourself (attitudes health and emotions) and be aware of the hazards around you.

You will learn how to search effectively for hazards, assess them and then reduce those risks.

The course runs regularly in Christchurch on the dates below: cost is $160 at present and also get you up to 6 Months off your restricted time ( if you are over 25 you can do this course as soon as you get your restricted and then do your full after 3 months)

We run 4 x 2 hour group theory sessions, followed by a 1 hour practical assessment ride within 60 days of course completion (this is not a test). You will be radio linked to our instructor and this is a great opportunity to prepare for your full licence test. We usually have a mix of teenagers ( car and bike riders) and returning riders on our courses.

Days are Usually Tuesdays and Thursdays and run between 6pm and 8.30 pm

Before Christmas : 13th Dec, Friday 16th Dec, 20th Dec, 22nd Dec

New Year Course : 10th Jan, 12th Jan, 17th Jan, 19th Jan

We are the only provider in this area who can provide a course that includes bikers and is run my an NZTA approved Car and Motorbike Instructor

Don't forget out there, we have a course running before Christmas and in Jan 2012.

We are also doing gift vouchers that can be used for DDC driving lessons or Riding Lessons. Also can be used for our subsidised motorbike courses

6.00-8.30pm Tuesdays & Thursdays

Session 1 28th Feb
Session 2 1st Mar
Session 3 6th Mar
Session 4 8th Mar

Followed by a 1 hour practical ride or drive within 60 days of session 4

Hi all just a reminder to anyone needing to do the defensive driving course to get time of their restricted( and hopefully learn some stuff in the process) that we are running our next DDC in Rangiora

19th Mar 21st Mar 26th Mar 28th Mar

Followed by a 1 hour practical ride or drive within 60 days of the course finishing

Starts 6pm runs for 2 -2.5 hours each night

Hi just to let you know we have delayed the start of our RANGIORA Defensive Driving Course by one week due to low numbers ( we need a min no for AA & NZTA to approve the course)

SO the cost is still the same $175 – details from our website

Ok so you have had the info before ( above) and you all know what DDC is about - time off your restricted ( in my opinion you should learn some stuff as well and you will!!!)

We do the 1 hour practical on your bike or in your car.
