    Stationary bike

    Hey all,

Bandit's been sitting in the carport for months pending maintenance so I can get wof/reg. I've noticed the front disc has developed surface rust, when I moved the bike last weekend the pad was rubbing hardcore on the disc. However after riding the bike up and down the driveway and gicing the disc a wipe it seemed ok.

What I want to know is can there be any damage done to the disc when the bike is not used?

Not really, surface rust is just that, surface. We get it on the yard with cars constantly being washed and maybe not driven for a few days, get a light coating over the discs. A quick drive soon gets rid of it.

Yes I've noticed my forks have some little spots of rust on the stauntion. A quick pick at it and it comes off rather easily. Phew.
