    Ultrasonic cleaning spark plugs

Will ultrasonically cleaning spark plugs damage them? Is there any possibility that the vibration could cause part to crack and drop into the motor?

I would not think so, after all they experience hundreds of explosions every min in your bike, But why would you want to do this anyway?

So your advice is if you want to get a nice bike and save some money then don’t.
    Helpful…

The tip of the plug should be nice and square, both the electrode and the other bit, the name escapes me.
And hit eBay for the plugs, might be a cheaper option than the local.
I’ve seen some plugs with a RRP of nearly $200 ea so yea, save it where you can.

I haven’t cleaned plugs with an ultrasonic cleaner but I can’t think of any reasons not to.
No harm in trying, they don’t fall apart as a rule.

My advice is, dont be a cheap cunt when it comes to basic servicing. Basic servicing is one of the major factors in determining engine (and bike) life. so yes, Id say that is somewhat helpful, if somewhat blunt.

$50 each I can´t blame him. Are you wanting to just give them a clean between races?

I've tried ultrasonic cleaning plugs, and it doesn't clean them anywhere near as good as a nasty sandblasting plug cleaner.

What are you using them in? is there a less expensive alternative?

They're very short, alternatives usually include changing suspension

Yeah I know about that, the proper plugs for my TZ250 motor where about $110 each, luckily enough in a Superkart there aren't any space restrictions and a $38 plug did the same job
