    Is that Doable

1654km in 24 hours and stopping at main centres along State Highway 1?
...and that includes the time spent on the ferry crossing of 3 plus hours?
Your average speed rate is up there.

In a word, no it is not, however it sounds good.
This run is a carbon copy of the run I organized in 1990 called "The Big Ride", that run was done in support of Telethon that year which ran for 24 hours, details Here.
I am going by 22 years old memory here, the actual riding time is about 25:30 hours, 3:45 hours spent stopping at main centers (If we can stick with the cunning plan), + 3:30ish on the tug + 5:15 hours for a bit of kip in Wellywood.
Total 38:00 hours, Saturday 05:30 start at The Bluff - Finish Sunday 19:30ish in Auckland.
We also had 3 studio visits to contend with slowing us down Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland.
In short it is doable and the whole distance was done by myself and 19 others with god knows how many in support in 1990 but not strictly in 24 Hours, that is a hangover from Telethon which I decided to keep as a slogan.

You may note I have adjusted the start times for this year, things were getting a little rushed in places back then.

Thank you for exposing my fraud with your question allowing me to explain and keep this thread fresh.

Make sure you have not set tradeMe set to search for local auctions only unless you are in the Wakato.

    Try this link.

    Or http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Sear...ch_suggested=0

Or search for "Crazy Biker Tour" without the quotes on TradeMe.

    All work fine for me.
