Yeah, well after doing a strip down, repaint and re-assemble using new seals, I have one fork draining itself onto the floor. It has taken about 4-6 weeks before this started to happen, during which time the bike has been sitting still un used as it is being restored. Admittedly the inners were not perfect but as they are apparently unobtainable new and problematic to fix, I just cleaned them up and shoved 'em back in. The oil is just oozing past the seal. I have heard that because of the plastic inserts, it is impossible to have them re-chromed. Maybe you can shed some light? I do not really want to change to different forks to solve the prob. Thanks in advance Robert. Al

The plastic check inserts can be removed but it does involve machining and quite a bit of fiddling around. If Warwick has indeed got a good used set then problem solved!

Powersports had them listed as SU51110-27A40 but when I queried them re availability, had a discontinued tag. Thanks for looking into it tho, I will go onto Alpha sports and see what they have, available.

If Warwick ( Kickaha ) has a good set go with him, he is a good guy. Plus you'd be putting money in a locals pocket, not some faceless Yank from Bollocks Obummerville.

Haha! Yeah i agree, I would be looking at doing as much as poss in NZ in any case but I contacted Alpha Sports and specifically asked if they had them in stock. I got an elusive answer that pretty much told me to pay the money first. Wonder if he is a politician? I won't vote for him! Thanks Robert
