Hey, kids! Captain Hero here with Getting Laid Tip 213 - The Backrub Buddy!
Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
heh, he's right though, we really don't have a clue where we are in regards to over fishing... like it would matter anyway.
"Standard commercial profit maximisation sees to it that fishing effort keeps increasing until the costs outweigh the benefits - when it is no longer profitable to haul another fish on board. At that point new boats stop joining the plunder."
I notice he didn't highlight the other 2 sides to that, where once the costs outweigh the benefits the fleet starts dropping in numbers (especially when quotas are introduced) and adding to the unemployment queue etc... and that fish prices start to rise due to lost revenue. Hey ho. I guess that's what the subsidies are there for.
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
I find it interesting how they banned recreational Blue Cod fishing in the Malborough Sounds but still let the commercial fishing take place. Im 22 years old, our family has been up there almost every weekend for 50 years and for as long as i can remember when we needed a feed we would grab A cod each (thats just one cod each) and thats what we have always done. after they lifted the ban they found the population had declined during the ban which is not surprising since we sat and watched the trawlers go back and forth all day every day. If they want to keep the oceans full of fish its not the guy who goes out for 1 or 2 fish every so often that they need to ban, its the commercial fisherys raping the ocean that need to be stopped or at least have more restrictions on them. Im no greeny but this is one thing about the management of natural resources that needs to be changed (Im not saying stopped but maybe managed alot better than it is)

gareth morgan is a cock
Surely you can't think that about him just because he rides BMWs.
Morgan mentions the Grand Banks and overfishing. Another example would be the sardine fishery of Monterey Bay (Read Steinbecks "Cannery Row")
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
