Even still though, that 7 fiddy seems to ride a lot better on the back wheel than pretty much all of the other bigger newer bikes!

    where were you?
They were going ok-ish, I reckon a bit slower than normal - I could even keep up!!
Until MRs engine failed out. A damaged ignition lead meant 3 cylinders (at last, a chance to keep up!!), so MR and I turned back about 20kms shy of the Coromandle town, to head back. Kind of a shame really, but I had to be heading back around then myself.

Thanks heaps again MR for letting me tag along, I had a heap of fun

really thought I was going to see more familiar KB faces, but alas, just us two.. plus company

Think he was refering to the "fast cunts only" bit. Not everyone can race with the orange sexyness.

well I know there's more than 2 quicker kber's.. and I don't even class myself as a fast cunt.. but still went. My bike was the second smallest cc bike there.. Just wouldn't have suited smaller cc bikes and lesser experienced riders. Plenty of rides for everyone, just this was for those who go a bit quicker, hence the first post

Must be nice to have lots of riders in your local area to call up for group rides
Bit harder down here still have some of the best roads to blast on but get boring with the same guys . after awhile . Will just have to come up there & see what all the fuss is about . Hope I can ride as fast as all you ?

I started off OK, well the bike did anyway. Had new tires to play with and we had a nice tight pack. I took it real easy in the wet as I have promised to take a break from wet riding for a bit, till I get my mojo back. Anywho, we pitted into Kopu and refueled. After paying the brolly dollies, we exited the Kopu Mobil pit area and blasted towards the coastal roads, going clockwise around the loop. After going not even 20 Kms into the ride through the twisties, cylinder number 4 gave up. I was being a tad bit harsh by red lining me old lil bike but you do that just to keep up with 1000s even when they were riding in a modest manner.

So, I raised me hand as I came up to a stop, then me and BJ head back to the Kopu Mobil pit area and tried to figure out the problem. After taking the fuel tank off and everything, nothing seemed to be obviously wrong so I pretty much packed up for the day and accepted the DNF.

On the way back we just did Miranda - Hunua - Clevedon and back via Manukau.

I'm kinda kicking myself for not being able to do the whole Isle of Coromandle TT but oh well, there'll be next time (that's if I didn't drop a valve, which I am suspecting more and more now!).

BugJuice, there will be other times for KB rides where anyone can come, then there will be fast KB rides where faster KB riders come along with the medium paced guys as well. I know people, KB members and non KB members who prefer to ride in a tight pack of similar paced riders and who do not prefer to ride in big groups, which works well in a lot of ways so that's fully understandable. So just so that everyone was happy, I made sure only certain paced riders and only certain number of riders went on this ride as the other riders you saw today belong to a seperate group who don't go on KB rides. You would have seen a few KB riders go along to this today but unfortunatly most of them had some lame ass excusess like Loosebruce and his "oooh I don't have any brake pads so I can't ride" Then Whitetrash had some important clients to attend to or something... Ahem... Then Death had to go up north in his cage for some family stuff.

If anyone was wondering, everyone are home safe with no incidents or anything at all. They all had an awesome blast!! I just wish I didn't have a DNF! Poor me :`(

P.S. Thanx Heaps for riding back with me BJ and for all the help!! I am sure close to the end while going over some of the hills, my bike was running on 2 cylinders and making clunk clunk noices (thats why I think it's the valve ) so it was good to have you come along, just in case I needed any help. Cheers for letting me ride your bike too, It's a pretty beast that goes like fuken bullet! (I'd feel that after riding my half dead bike but still, that 636 has some grunt! Good brakes too!)

Anywho, enough of this B.S. I'll organise a KB "ride for all", next weekend if I didn't just manage to write off my CBR today with a blown motor (will find out during the week).

That wasn't us you went past WT! If it was, you would have known from the wobbles you'd be getting from our shock wave!

Sensie, it'd be cool as if you could come for a ride with us at some stage!

Time to watch Moto GP!! Till next time, see ya!

Tut, tut old fella.... that DNF is gonna hurt Honda in the manufacturer's points table.

You need to be more careful next time. There is only a few more rounds left before the summer racing season starts.

I know you are in the points ranking with a good chance of a podium finish in the FC (fast cunts) class, but with the addition of WT to the Auckland Gixxer GP team you really have a hard road ahead of you if you wish to retain your lead.

I wish you the best of luck in any future races. I understand that F/F's next round of the 22GP will be held shortly where you will have a chance to compete again.

    Good luck.

Honda are counting on you to keep them tops in the street stock division.
