Setting race relationships back 100 years

This morning on Maori TV (which I quite like btw) two folks commenting on this..

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post...rebury-husband

Both staunch as and commented that this was the result of marrying outside of your ethnicity..... The presenter was nodding away happily.

    Um.........

    FFS - I was speachless

interesting case, i remember it when it happened,

Its hard to understand how an extended family can take someone against the deceased mans will guidelines, and over rule the immidiate family,

can you imagine the outcry tho, if a white extended family took a body off a marae against the wife's and childrens wishes,

Been at a funeral where a similar thing was looming. The extended tribe only contacted him when they wanted money. When he died they wanted his body rather then bury him married to a white woman in her manner. Fortunately it didn't come to blows & he stayed with his loved ones.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Fucking horrible. My father died three weeks ago, and the poor old fella came to a horrible sticky end, which was incredibly hard to see.

His brother and sister, are fiercely religeous, and were less than happy about mum, my sister and I making the incredibly tough decision to turn off his life support. FFS...it's hard enough as it is, without the extra bad feelings etc over the dead person!
