    What do you do

What are some of the things you guys do to earn a crust. Any really interesting jobs out there in KB land. With some of you it is fairly obvious what you do(or dont do) to earn your crust. Maybe a pic or 2 of you at work would be cool too. Im a nosey fucker. Me, I drive machinery most days when I can be bothered, mostly spend my time on a D6H or a digger, but love driving the transporter around, cos it gets me out being nosey.

I have been in the flooring trade for 30 years.
Carpet Layer by trade but now only do vinyl and my own floor prep.
Which includes concrete grinding/sanding/Hardboard overlay etc.
I used to do alot of vinyl woodlook planks but opted out of those some years ago due to the instabillity of the product in certain situations.

When we bought this place 7 yrs ago it had those woodlook planks in our kitchen/dining area, they were newly laid and looked kinda cool, but now I have to rip them out because they are lifting and cracking and look absolutely shitty.Nice red pine underneath,so may just sand and varnish.

I'm an ex chippie who moved up through site/project & construction manager roles into my current roles of Building Surveyor/consultant, WHRS Weathertightness assessor, Professional expert witness in disputes, Engineer/Architect to construction contracts (not an actual engineer or architect, more like a clerk of works), Building consent processor, Building inspector, Project manager, Development manager. I do any and all of the above roles plus a few more but am very picky about who I work for and generally only in situations when there is a serious problem that needs to be sorted out (i.e litigation, seriously stalled projects etc). I have taken control of and completed seriously distressed projects up to $35 million in value, but mostly nowadays act as an expert on behalf on Insurance companies in professional negligence claims. I'm a minor shareholder in the consultancy which I contract to.

Anyone who has a serious construction related problem (including respondents to leaky building claims) are welcome to contact me for a little bit of free advice.
